Verse 1

D My Lord, I G did not D choose You, for that could A never D be

My heart would G still refD use You, had You not A chosen D me

D You took the G sin that D stained me, cleansed me, A made me D new

Of old You G have ordD ained me, that I should A live in D You

D My Lord, I G did not D choose You, for that could G never D be

My heart would G still reD fuse You, had you not A chosen D me

D Unless Your G grace had D called me and taught my A op’ning D mind

The world would G have enthD ralled me, to heavenly A glories D blind

D My heart knows G none abD ove You, for Your rich A grace I D thirst

I know that G if I D love You, You must have A loved me D first
