Verse 1

 I G heard an old, old story,
 How a C Savior came from G glory,
 How He gave His life on Em Calvary
 To A save  a  wretch  like D me;
 I G heard about His groaning,
 Of His C precious blood's aG toning,
 Then I repented Em of my sins
 And D won the victorG y.

Chorus

 O G victory  in  Jesus,
 My C Savior,  foG rever.
 He sought me and Em bought me
 With A His  redeeming D blood;
 He G loved me ere I knew Him
 And C all my love is G due Him,
 He Em plunged me to G victory,
 BeD neath the cleansing G flood.

Verse 2

 I G heard about His healing,
 Of His C cleansing pow'r reG vealing.
 How He made the lame to Em walk again
 And A caused  the  blind  to D see;
 And G then I cried, "Dear Jesus,
 Come and C heal my broken G spirit,"
 And somehow Jesus Em came and bro't
 To D me the victoryG .

Verse 3

 I G heard  about  a  mansion
 He has C built for me in G glory.
 And I heard about the Em streets of gold
 BeA yond  the  crystal D sea;
 AbG out  the  angels  singing,
 And the C old redemption G story,
 And some sweet day I'll Em sing up there
 The D song of victorG y.
